Groupe Costantini, one of Luxembourg’s leading construction companies, has taken delivery of seven Sunward excavators from 2 to 9 tonnes. DML Service, Sunward’s dealer in Luxembourg, supplied the machines. Costantini had already rented Sunward equipment for six years without any major problem.
50 years of building Luxembourg
Osvaldo Costantini founded the company in 1975. Today it is a group of around 850 people, with its headquarters in Niederkorn. Costantini works in Luxembourg, the French Grand Est, Île-de-France and Belgium. Its trades include civil engineering, public works, building construction, demolition, asbestos removal and recycling. Its red machines and helmets are a familiar sight across the Grand Duchy, from the tram earthworks in Kirchberg to industrial dismantling in Dudelange.
Seven Sunward excavators, three applications
Demolition: one SWE 20F and one SWE 35UF, compact machines for deconstruction work in tight spaces.
Road works: one SWE 60UF.
General construction: one SWE 25UF and three SWE 90UF. These all-rounders will move from site to site wherever the group needs them.
Why Sunward?
Costantini had six years of real site work with Sunward machines on rental, with no major issues. When it was time to buy, the choice was easy.
Three things made the difference:
1. The machines. They are designed for the European market and come with a full standard specification. They also offer strong value for money, which makes a seven-machine investment easy to justify.
2. The dealer. Costantini already knew the professional standard of DML Service, Sunward’s dealer in Luxembourg. DML Service is Costantini’s first point of contact for advice, delivery and after-sales support, close to its sites.
3. The backing. Every machine DML Service delivers is supported at two levels. Locally, DML Service knows the customer, the sites and the machines. Behind it, Sunward Europe’s 25,000 m² site in Tessenderlo, Belgium, holds a large stock of machines and spare parts, with more than 95% parts availability. When a Costantini machine needs a part, DML Service can count on fast supply from Tessenderlo. A technical training centre and a workshop support DML Service and the rest of the 160+ dealer network.
“Costantini knew exactly what they were buying,” says Sébastien Vilmin of DML Service. “They had been renting Sunward machines for six years without any major problem. These excavators are going into some of the toughest work there is, demolition included. That is exactly where reliability and the right price make the difference.”
