Sunward is proud to announce the launch of its latest mini excavator, the SWE 50UF, at the upcoming INTERMAT Fair in Paris, April 2024.
This new model, expertly designed to fill the gap between the SWE 35UF and SWE 60UF, boasts a zero-tail swing feature, making it perfect for narrow space operations.
The SWE 50UF is equipped with a powerful Kubota D1803-T engine, ensuring robust performance with a significant torque of 150 N·m/rpm. With an operating mass of 5.3 tons and a bucket capacity of 0.14 m³, it offers both efficiency and precision in various construction environments.
The SWE 50UF stands out for its comfortable and intelligent cabin design, featuring shock-absorbing seats and a 7-inch color touchscreen for seamless flow adjustment and control. The large undercarriage enhances stability, especially on challenging terrains, while the high-displacement travel motor ensures easy mobility. Maintenance is made convenient with a full-open cover, allowing easy access to all parts.

POWERFUL & RELIABLE ENGINE
We chose the powerful Kubota D1703 engine for several good reasons. This engine is a vertical, water-cooled, 4-cycle diesel engine with a capacity of 29.7 kW at 2200 rpm. Featuring a built-in solenoid, low fan position, and single side serviceability, the Kubota D1703 offers powerful performance, exceptional reliability and long service life to meet a wide range of applications. The perfect fit for our reliable and versatile SWE 50UF.
PREMIUM COMPONENTS
All key components in Sunward excavators are carefully selected, from Kubota engine to hydraulics. Because hydraulics are often regarded as the heart of the machine, Sunward sources exclusively from the highest references in the market. For our Sunward SWE 50UF, we selected HENGLI to be our main supplier for the hydraulic pump, and KYB or Nachi for the swing motor traveling and swing motor. All these pumps and components for construction machinery are efficient, reliable, and space-saving. So, it’s no coincidence that Sunward selected them to contribute to the SWE 50UF’s reliability.
HIGH WORKING RANGE
The SWE 50UF has exceptional digging forces – 34 kN (bucket) and 23 kN (arm) – easily rivaling all 5.5t excavator competitors on the market. And when it comes to its long-reach capacity, the SWE 50UF’s boom cylinder design provides a ground reach of over 5.8 meters (5 845 mm) and a digging reach that’s over 5.9 meters (5 940 mm) long – making this mini excavator the benchmark of its range.

The SWE 50UF is a zero-tail mini excavator with truly compact dimensions (2 000 mm width), allowing to bring power and easy work even if very tight areas, without any compromise on safety. Moreover, the SWE 50UF can adapt to any job site, thanks to the complete auxiliary settings built-in as standard – providing fully adjustable pressure and flow monitoring. This results in no less than 3 separate auxiliary lines as standard (while the market provides 1 to 2 lines as standard). Thus, a wide range of attachments can be easily fitted to answer a variety of applications.

EASY TO MAINTAIN
To reduce maintenance time and cost for the SWE 50UF, the covers at the rear and on the side provide direct access to the service points. The standard service points – for fuel, oil, and air filters – are directly accessed via the cover at the rear. So, with very easy access to the fuel tank and centralized grease fittings, these mini excavators are as easy to maintain as they are to operate.
